Downtown Napa

The photographer at our wedding suggested we check out the Oxbow Public Market during our stay. We Google'd it last night and decided it seemed like a good idea! We kicked ourselves for not waiting to have breakfast there. Everything looked so delicious. They had local coffee, a cupcake shop, a bakery, a produce stand, a Mexican restaurant, olive bar, tea shop, butcher...the list goes on! Why I didn't take pictures I'm not sure. If we go back there tomorrow (likely) I will get some!

We headed across the street to another little shopping area and went to Kohl's. As soon as we walked in we asked ourselves what we were doing there, but decided to look around anyway! We actually SCORED on a piece of wall art for $15! We also got two frames for $2 and $4 each, as well as a pair of super-sweet shades for me! Chris also got a pair of shorts at some strange store that was a mix between Macy's and Kohl's, kind of. Oh well, $10 shorts isn't bad!

Oh, I forgot to mention! When Chris and I stopped at Jamba Juice for some b-fast, we got very excited about something!

It's SONIC!!
We headed back to Sonic for lunch since neither of us have been there, but always are so tempted by their commercials. It was only okay for us. I got some Frito Pie thing and he got some bacon cheeseburger thing. He also got a Reese's Blast and I got a slushie creamy thing.

For dinner we decided to try out a restaurant we saw in Downtown Napa earlier that Chris hears about on his Sports Talk stuff. We went to the Buckhorn Grill and they specialize in tri-tip sandwiches. We both really, really liked this place. It was a cool atmosphere, and had a really cool soda machine!

It was all touch screen, and it had many different flavor options. Vanilla Coke, Cherry Coke, five different flavors of lemonade, and lots more. Pretty cool stuff…

I got the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and Chris got the Bacon and Cheddar Sandwich. Oh, and I opted for Sweet Potato Fries. Everything was great and I ended up eating HALF my bread! I was able to soak it up in the au jus so that helped.

Lots of meat!
Since it seems we are making it a goal to eat as many calories as possible this weekend, we headed over to Ben and Jerry’s to cap off the night. I am not a huge ice cream fan, but I LOVE coconut ice cream! I was in luck, they had coconut 7 layer dream bar (or something like that) ice cream and it was delish. I didn't care for the walnuts, but thankfully there weren't many. Chris had the peanut butter and chocolate one. My scoop is under his, and we split the delicious waffle cone.

We stopped by Target on our way back to the hotel in hopes of finding a cheap movie to watch on the laptop.  While browsing around, look who we found!
