Aruba!

Here we are in Aruba! The weather in Aruba was a little touch-and-go. It was raining our whole stinky, diesel-fueled, leaky-exhaust bus ride there. Oh, we could also see the asphalt through the floor of the bus. Once we were in our kayaks and on our way, the weather seemed to clear up a bit. By the time we were headed back, Chris threatened to dump our kayak because we got so hot! Overall, the weather was good since we were doing a water activity.

The guides mentioned the tandem kayaks being “divorce kayaks.” We would like to successfully report that we are still happily married! The divorce kayaks had nothing on us. Chris and I actually really enjoyed the kayaking part of this excursion. We kayaked over to a beach that was mediocre at best. There was nowhere to swim, so I relaxed on a beach towel and took a little snooze. We could have snorkeled, but we opted not to. The water in Aruba was actually so clear and pretty, so we should have snorkeled. Oh well! It was really cool to kayak over the water and be able to see straight through to the ocean floor.

My tummy said it was time for a snack and I was glad we had those Mojo bars.
Once we were back from our excursion, we shopped around the town a bit. I think the only things we got were some pooka shells and an anklet. Oh, and maybe some coasters? I’m not sure, that could have been Curacao!

After our dinner, we headed over to watch a few game shows. One show was something similar to “Finish the Lyric” and the next show was called “The Quest.” This show was a riot! I think the picture speaks for itself.
